Authorities in the Mankato area continue to investigate a string of vandalism that defaced a school, church and statue last week.
Swear words and profane pictures were spray-painted onto Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato sometime late Thursday or early Friday. Priest Peter Nosbush says the church worked to quickly remove the graffiti before a wedding over the weekend.
Similar graffiti was also found on a memorial and bandstand in Wheeler Park and on Garfield Elementary School in North Mankato.
In Mankato, several locations were hit including the buffalo statue at Reconciliation Park, a KFC and the Blue Earth County Library.
Mankato is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the vandal or vandals.
