FBI: Man Wearing Surgical Mask Robs Bank

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS (WCCO) ― A Building Trades Credit Union was robbed Thursday morning by a masked man who threatened tellers with a semi automatic handgun, according to Minneapolis FBI.

A man entered the bank, located at 5300 South Robert Trail in Inver Grove Heights, and proceeded to threaten multiple tellers, demanding $100 bills. After receiving an unknown amount of money, the man placed it into a black bag and fled the bank on foot.

He is described as a black male in his 30s, 6 foot 2 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a white surgical mask over his face with construction-type goggles over his eyes.

The robber is believed to be responsible for a robbery of a US Bank in Burnsville on Aug. 20, 2009.

Anyone with information regarding this bank robbery is asked to contact the Minneapolis FBI at 612-376-3200. A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
