Authorities in western Wisconsin are investigating a fatal stabbing after a man was found dead at a home near Luck.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a call around 9:45 Saturday night to a home in Bone Lake Township. When deputies arrived they found 61-year-old Stephen Dahlstrom of Bogota, Colombia in a garage area of the residence.
Officials said Dahlstrom suffered severe blunt force trauma and at least one fatal stab wound.
The homeowner, 62-year-old Wayne Rouillard, was taken into custody at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance and toxicology testing.
Rouillard was then transported to the Polk County Jail and is being held for homicide.
Polk County Sheriff Timothy Moore said it appeared Dahlstrom and Rouillard were friends and had known each other for years, meeting when Dahlstrom once lived in Edina, Minn.
Moore said an autopsy will be performed on Dahlstrom to determine the official cause of death. The Polk County Sheriff's Office and Medical Examiner continue to investigate the incident.
