For the 17,000 points that Isaak said was taken off her reward card she could have gotten a $25 gift card, a relatively modest amount.

With the average cost for a gallon of gasoline in Minnesota at $3.07, consumers are looking for ways to save. That may be why the Speedy Rewards program at SuperAmerica is so popular. The program lets members earn points toward food or even fuel.
"I really like it. I've already gotten a $100 gift card from here. Cause you get a certain amount of points and you turn them in for things," said Laurie Ouska, who took nine months of filling up to get enough points for the gift card.
However, one Twin Cities woman says someone hijacked the information on her card and used it for their own reward.
"Its 17,500 points that they took," said Carol Isaak of Newport, Minn. She says she called SuperAmerica customer service and the agent accused her of redeeming the points herself.
Isaak said the customer service representatives told her she used the points the day before, and Isaak told the representative that wasn't true.
Isaak found out from customer service that the points were redeemed at a Lakeville SuperAmerica 30 miles from her home.
For the 17,000 points that Isaak said was taken off her reward card she could have gotten a $25 gift card, a relatively modest amount. Isaak said it's the principal that counts.
For months she has been driving out of her way to go to SuperAmerica to buy gas to collect points.
A SuperAmerica spokesperson said they do have someone assigned to investigate these types of complaints and they are investigating Isaak's case.
SuperAmerica also said Isaak could have protected her card by going online or calling customer service and getting a PIN number.
