Man Arrested In Mpls. Shooting, 1 Killed, 1 Hurt

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― Police have made an arrest in a South Minneapolis shooting that killed one woman and injured another.

A woman was shot and killed just after 1 a.m. on the 2800 block of 17th Avenue South, according to police.

Another woman was also injured in the shooting, but authorities said her injuries were not life-threatening.

Officers arriving at the scene found the victim already dead.

The Minneapolis Police Violent Offenders Task Force arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the shooting. The Brooklyn Center SWAT team assisted with the arrest.

The man is currently being held at the Hennepin County Jail.

The identities of the shooting victims have not been released.
