Charges: Man Licked Showering Boy's Belly Button

A man has been charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. last week.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Dakota County, James Albert Silbernagel, 41, came into the boy's house last Thursday while the boy was showering.
Silbernagel, who lives in the same neighborhood, was permitted to use the phone earlier in the day while the victim's mother was home. She later told police that they are not friends and Silbernagel had never been invited into the home without permission.
According to the charges, Silbernagel held a knife to the boy and told him to remove his towel. He also allegedly licked the boy's belly button and grabbed his buttocks before the boy fled to a neighbor's house.
Police apprehended Silbernagel and noted the smell of liquor. He also had two condoms and a folding knife in his pants pockets.
Silbernagel's has been charged with drunken driving twice in the early 1990s and also carries a 1997 domestic assault charge on his criminal record.
He has been charged with two counts of felony first-degree burglary and felony second-degree sexual conduct.
His next court appearance is scheduled for June 29.
