Police: Man Kills Self After Accidental Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― Minneapolis Police were investigating a death on the city's south side Thursday morning.

According to authorities, police were called to a home on the 2800 block of 17th Avenue South at about 3 a.m.

According to Sgt. Jesse Garcia, a man accidentally shot a woman in the chest.

The man, apparently worried about going to jail for the shooting, then fatally shot himself in the head.

The woman was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
