Teens Sentenced For Harassing Muslims In Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) ― Three teenage boys have been sentenced for harassing people outside the Islamic Center in Rochester, Minn.

The teens were charged with bias crimes that included spitting on a person and yelling racial slurs.

Two 16-year-olds from Rochester were charged with gross misdemeanor harassment and sentenced to probation and community service. A 15-year-old was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, but his sentence wasn't made public.

The teens say they are part of a group called the "Minnesota Mafia." The teen identified as the group's leader says some of his friends raise their fists and yell "white power" while riding by the center.
