Pregnant Woman Injured In High-Speed Crash Dies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― A pregnant woman critically injured in a one-car crash in Rogers, Minn. last month died Tuesday at a local hospital.

Jamie Baer, 22, was a passenger in a car that crashed on Interstate 94 east of Highway 101 on Aug. 22. The Minnesota State Patrol said the Ford Mustang may have topped 100 miles per hour before it plowed into an interstate ditch.

Baer was 6 months pregnant at the time of the crash. Her baby was delivered at Hennepin County Medical Center after the crash. Baer suffered head injuries in the crash.

The patrol said all three people in the car had been drinking. The driver, Frank Tregoning, and another passenger, Kelsey Palmer, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
