Man Arrested After Robbery, Police Chase
(WCCO)
Bloomington Police arrested a man they said robbed a gas station
and led them on a chase Friday night.
Police said a man robbed the BP gas station located on the
5100 block of West 98th Street
in Bloomington.
The robbery suspect drove away from the scene in a blue
Saturn while police chased after him.
Officers followed the suspect onto Interstate 494, towards MSP International
Airport.
The suspect crashed his car at Highway 61 and Warner Road in St. Paul and then fled on
foot.
The chase ended when he was caught by officers.
Police believe the suspect is responsible for two other
convenience stores robberies in Richfield, Minn. and Edina,
Minn. earlier Friday evening.
Detectives are not releasing the man's name because he is
thought to also be the suspect in multiple other convenience store robberies in
the last few weeks, according to the Bloomington Police Department.
The Bloomington Police captain called him "very active."
Police expect charges to be filed within the next few days.
