A drug suspect trying to flee police in St. Paul injured at least four people when he crashed into several cars.
According to St. Paul Police spokesperson Peter Panos, an undercover, unmarked police car was following a drug suspect when he took off. Police began chasing the car, with their lights flashing, but lost sight of him when the car went over a hill.
Panos said once the officers drove over the hill, near Dale Street and Front Street, they saw the suspect had gotten into an accident.
According to police, the suspect's vehicle hit one moving car and two parked cars. All four people in the parked cars were injured. Two of the injured, who were just getting into their car when they were struck, were badly hurt.
Police say the driver and lone occupant of the first car struck was not injured.
The suspect was booked into the Ramsey County Jail. The injured were taken to Regions Hospital.
