Man Arrested, Police ID Girl Shot To Death In Mpls

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― A man has been arrested in the weekend murder of a girl who was found shot to death in North Minneapolis.

Joquese Loyd, 15, died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

On Sunday, Minneapolis Police arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with Brown's murder. Charges are expected to be filed on Tuesday.

Minneapolis Police were called to a home at 1110 18th Avenue North where they found Loyd's body inside.

Police said someone called 911 shortly before 4:30 Saturday afternoon saying someone had been shot.

WCCO found records showing the home had been foreclosed in March of this year. Neighbors said a man and woman moved in just a few days ago.
