Man Allegedly Assaults Father, Kidnaps Daughter

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― A 15-year-old girl is missing, and her father has been badly beaten.

Minneapolis Police said her former boyfriend, Tony McGee, kidnapped her from her home Thursday morning. Investigators hope that she is returned safely.

Nothing could stop 19-year-old McGee from barging into the girl's home in Northeast Minneapolis just before 11 a.m. The home is near the intersection of Northeast 18th Avenue and East Polk Street.

Police said he abducted Alison, right after he first argued with and then beat up her father.

"He proceeds to punch the father out, or hit him or something, whatever. He knocked the father out in his own yard, and he was last seen dragging the 15 year-old ex-girlfriend away from that house, down the driveway," said Sergeant Jesse Garcia with the Minneapolis Police Department.

McGee has been charged twice in Minnesota with domestic abuse in the last year. Alison even took out a restraining order against him just a couple weeks ago, but the pieces of paper didn't stop McGee form kidnapping her, Minneapolis police said.

Her father is at Hennepin County Medical Center recovering. Thursday night he was in serious condition.

Minneapolis Police did not issue an Amber Alert in this case, because no vehicle was initially involved.

Police hope Alison comes home safely, and they urge anyone with information about this case to call 911 right away.

"This is very serious, and we're looking for the public's help, if they see her or him out there," said Sgt. Garcia. "If she comes back on her own, if he brings her back unharmed, it'll clear up a lot of things, and we can actually get down to the issue of figuring out what happened, and this won't be much worse."
