The third teen in what prosecutors say was a gang-related shooting in
St. Paul in June has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
Nineteen-year-old Marquez Storey of Vadnais Heights was charged with two counts of second-degree murder for killing 18-year-old Dionte Ramone Montantes of St. Paul on June 19.
The criminal complaint said the victim was shot in the head just after leaving a recreation center.
The complaint said Storey and fellow gang members went driving near the center, where Storey and another person got out of the vehicle and approached Montantes. Witnesses said Storey shot him.
The shooting happened on a sidewalk in front of 1025 Iglehart Avenue, according to St. Paul Police.
Storey will face sentencing on Jan. 12.
