Lyon County employees have filed a lawsuit against the county over changes in health insurance coverage for retirees.
County Administrator Loren Stromberg confirmed Thursday that the lawsuit has been filed.
Lyon County modified its policy last February for covering health care benefits for retirees.
It had been paying health insurance costs at the rate of 4 percent for each year of service, giving someone who had worked for the county 25 years full coverage.
The Board of Commissioners scheduled a special meeting Tuesday to discuss the matter in closed session.
