Crime Alert Issued For Loring Park Neighborhood

The man is believed to have entered the multi-unit apartment complex using an unsecured security door.

The city of Minneapolis issued a crime alert for the Loring Park Neighborhood Thursday in response to a sexual assault in an apartment complex.
On Oct. 30, a woman encountered a man in the common laundry room going through her laundry. According to police, he then sexually molested and assaulted her. She was then able to fight him off and he fled on foot.
The man is believed to have entered the multi-unit apartment complex using an unsecured security door.
He is being described a black male, 30- to 40-years-old, 6 feet tall, light build, unshaven and with a short afro. He was reported to be wearing a beanie hat, flannel shirt and carrying a backpack.
