Monday Marks 18 Years Since Wetterling Abduction

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ― It was 18 years ago Monday that a masked gunman abducted eleven-year-old Jacob Wetterling near his St. Joseph home.
   
To honor Jacob, the Jacob Wetterling Foundation is asking families to leave a porch light on or to light a candle on Monday.
  
The foundation says leaving a light on to "help light their way home" is a way for families to show their support for Jacob and all missing children.
  
Eighteen years after his abduction, Jacob's case remains open and unsolved.
