Hardware Hank Broken Into, Customer Checks Stolen

ZIMMERMAN, Minn. (WCCO) ― Police have warned customers of a Hardware Hank store in Zimmerman, Minn. that they may be potential victims of identity theft.

Police said someone busted through a wall at the store this weekend. The suspect got into the safe and took cash and a bunch of checks.

Investigators said it is possible those checks may be used to steal identities. Anyone who wrote one to the store this weekend should call and cancel it.

If you used a credit card, call your credit card company to ensure no strange purchases have been made.
