Police in Moorhead say they are investigating at least seven reports of burglaries, including a few reported in flood-prone areas where residents were advised to evacuate.
Deputy Police Chief Shannon Monroe says in most of the cases, nothing was taken. That includes three burglaries in evacuation areas.
In one case, television sets and computer equipment was stolen. Monroe says that burglary happened in an area that had earlier been under an evacuation advisory but where people had already returned.
Monroe says the department has increased patrols in the city.
