Teen Charged With Felony For Egging House

SHOREWOOD, Minn. (WCCO) ― A Tonka Bay 18-year-old has been charged with a felony for allegedly egging a Shorewood home last fall.

Emery James Eaton was charged with first-degree damage to property for throwing eggs at a home after a disagreement between Eaton and the daughter of the homeowner, according to the criminal complaint.

Court papers say the homeowner called police on Oct. 26, 2008 after he discovered the back of his home had been egged by approximately 36 eggs.

The homeowner told that his daughter heard Eaton bragging about egging their house as payback for something that happened between the homeowner's daughter and Eaton.

The estimated cost of the damage to the home was about $2,800. If convicted, Eaton could be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison and face $10,000 in fines.
