Escaped Convicts Possibly Spotted In Faribault

FARIBAULT, Minn. (WCCO) ― Two convicted murderers who escaped from a prison in Arkansas may have been spotted in the Faribault area Sunday morning.

Jeffrey Grinder and Calvin Adams escaped from a prison in Grady, Arkansas on Friday. Police were looking for a maroon or red 2003 Hyundai Sonata with Arkansas plate 595-NYM.

A suspicious maroon vehicle with two men inside was spotted around 11:15 a.m. Sunday in the French Lake area of Rice County.

Authorities say the men may have stolen a different car now. Police say the men are armed and dangerous.

Early Sunday a sheriff from the area said the two are likely headed to Michigan, as one of them has a relative in that state. The sheriff earlier stated he thought the two could be headed to Minnesota or Canada, but has since amended that statement.
