A judge will allow prosecutors to use a cell-phone video and photos
against former Minnesota Gophers defensive safety Dominic Jones in his
upcoming rape trial.
Jones was charged in July after an 18-year-old woman accused him and
other players with providing her vodka, getting her drunk and then
taking turns having sex with her. Prosecutors say the video and photos
show part of the incident.
Hennepin County District Judge Marilyn Rosenbaum decided to admit
the evidence during the last pretrial hearing for Jones who's due to go
on trial March 31.
Prosecutors claim Jones and three other players engaged in the acts,
but Jones is the only one charged. While all the players have been
kicked off the team, Jones still attends the university.
