Man Pleads Guilty To Damaging Utility Boxes

(WCCO) A man pled guilty Thursday to a felony charge of damaging two Qwest utility boxes.

Ian McCombs, 22, faces 26 to 36 months in prison for the incident that happened in St. Paul in November, according to the Ramsey County Attorney.

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2008. Under McCombs' plea agreement, a second count of possession of burglary tools will be dismissed.

University of Minnesota engineering student, Levi Glennie, 21, and Christopher Walter, 26, were also charged with damaging two Qwest phone utility boxes which knocked out phone service to 300,000 customers.

Those two men are awaiting trial.
