Grand Jury To Consider Charges In Craigslist Death

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) ― A grand jury is considering first-degree murder charges against the man accused of killing a woman after she answered a Craigslist ad for a baby sitter.

The Scott County prosecutor's office says the grand jury convened today and is expected to have a decision by Thursday or Friday.

Nineteen-year-old Michael Anderson of Savage is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Katherine Olson of Minneapolis. In Minnesota, a grand jury indictment is required to charge a suspect with first-degree murder.

According to a criminal complaint, Anderson allegedly used the Internet ad to lure Olson to his home and killed her. He's accused of shooting her in the back and leaving her body in the trunk of her car. No motive has been disclosed.
