Lyon County prosecutors charged a 29-year-old Cottonwood woman with criminal vehicular homicide in a fatal crash on state Highway 23 near Cottonwood in November.
Courtney Karen Voorhees was charged Wednesday with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and a charge of criminal vehicular injury.
Prosecutors allege Voorhees was driving drunk when she hit a car on the side of the highway and killed the driver, 17-year-old Morgan L. Cline of Kandiyohi and injured 18-year-old Dustin J. Woodworth of Marshall.
Voorhees and family members declined to comment after her court appearance Wednesday.
Voorhees' blood alcohol level was allegedly 0.25, more three times higher than the legal driving limit. She told investigators she didn't intend to hurt anyone.
Lyon County Attorney Rick Maes says he delayed filing charges until the investigation was finished.
