Cass Lake Teacher Arrested For Child Pornography

(WCCO) A Cass Lake Middle School teacher was been arrested on Thursday in connection to child pornography, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office.

Following an investigation, Eddie Eugene Himes, 65, was arrested in his residence in Northern Township. According authorities, Himes is an employee of the Cass Lake Independent School District and works with at-risk students at the district's middle school.

The case has been referred to the Beltrami County Attorney for possible charges of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Himes is being held in Beltrami County Jail pending a first appearance before a District Judge on Friday.
