Police: Escaped Convicts Likely Headed To Mich.

GRADY, Ark. (WCCO) ― Police in Arkansas said they do not expect two convicted murderers on the run could be headed to Minnesota, which they earlier stated could be the case.

Police said Calvin Adams and Jeffrey Grinder escaped from prison in Grady, Arkansas Friday. The inmates went to the prison library where they changed into correctional officer uniforms and escaped.

On Saturday afternoon, authorities believe they spotted the two driving in Missouri.

A Sheriff from the area said the two are likely headed to Michigan, as one of them has a relative in that state.

The sheriff earlier stated he thought the two could be headed to Minnesota or Canada, but has since amended that statement.

They're searching for a maroon or red 2003 Hyundai Sonata with Arkansas plate 595-NYM.

Police say the men are armed and very dangerous.
