Body Found In Burned Car Ruled Homicide

GREEN ISLE, Minn. (WCCO) ― Authorities have ruled the death of man whose body was found in a burned car near Green Isle, Minn. a homicide.

The Sibley County Sheriff's Office identified the man as 42-year-old Dan Juarez of Chaska, Minn. They say Juarez was found in a 2003 Chevy Blazer that had ladder racks on the roof and Dish Network signs on the doors.

Authorities are treating the case as a homicide and are not releasing the cause of death at this time.

The car was found aflame on private property in Washington Lake Township at about 4:15 a.m. on Dec. 7. Once the fire was extinguished, crews found Juarez's body inside.
