Buffalo Woman Shot In Leg While Driving Home

(WCCO) Attorneys are trying to decide if two young men should be charged after a woman was shot in the leg while driving home.

The bullet came through the driver's side door of Sandy Holtze's Honda and ended up under the dash.

It happened just before 5 p.m. as Holtze was driving to Buffalo, Minn. on Highway 55.

"I called 911 and I said I'm not sure what happened it sounded like a gunshot and I looked down and saw my leg was bloody ... and she said to apply pressure to that area," said Holtze.

Deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man in a nearby cornfield and found the shotgun they used.

They don't believe the young men meant to shoot the woman.

Holtze is expected to recover.
