Minn. Launches Alcohol, Gambling Tipline

ST. PAUL (AP) ― Minnesotans now have a toll-free tipline they can call to report suspected alcohol and gambling violations.

The Department of Public Safety's Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division has activated the new complaint line -- 1-866-345-1204.

Callers can report such things as underage sale of alcohol, after-hour sale of alcohol, illegal manufacture of alcohol, sports betting and illegal gambling.

A report to the tipline should include the business name and address, suspect name and description, and type of activity. Callers can remain anonymous.

The tipline should not be used to report drunken driving or problem drinking or gambling.
