Authorities have arrested a 23-year-old man accused of abducting a woman and holding her against her will for two days.
Anoka County Sheriff's Lt. Paul Sommer says the 25-year-old woman, who was abducted in Fargo, N.D., was sexually assaulted and tortured during the two days and has injuries consistent with her report. He says the suspect's wife also witnessed some of the crimes.
Sommer says the suspect held the woman until she was able to escape from an address in Fridley on Sunday. He says the woman is now recovering from her injuries.
Authorities say the suspect has had past contact with the woman.

The woman told authorities she used to know the man and identified him as Turnage. The woman said Turnage took her from Fargo, drove her to several places in Anoka County, sexually assaulted her and tortured her.
She was able to escape and run to a nearby place for help after Turnage left her alone in Fridley, Minn.
While police do believe he targeted his victim because of his past acquaintance with her, police did warn that Turnage was considered dangerous. Turnage had ties to Minneapolis, Fridley, Brooklyn Park and the Brooklyn Center area.
