Even the postmaster got into the act as the post office in the Minnesota town of Springfield celebrated the new "Simpsons" U.S. postage stamps.
Postmaster Mary Larson wore her blueish hair up in the style of Marge Simpson.
Larson says some people were jumping at the chance to have the TV cartoon characters on their outgoing mail.
Springfield, in south-central Minnesota, has the same name as the Simpsons' hometown. The Springfield post office began making the five "Simpsons" stamps available on Thursday, along with a special cancellation.
The postmark was a one-day deal, but will be available for the next 30 days if you mail an envelope to the Springfield postmaster.
The "Simpsons" stamp costs 44 cents. The cost of a first-class stamp increases to 44 cents on Monday.

The characters, created by cartoonist Matt Groening, have become pop culture icons in 20 years.
