Protesters from several states including Minnesota say they have a list of demands for the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Members of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, say they want the association to support a home foreclosure prevention bill and have more standards for brokers.
The members of ACORN who were protesting in Chicago today include Glarushiah Davis. The 62-year-old from Minnesota claims she's a victim of a predatory lending scheme. She says she can't make the payments on her refinanced home.
A spokesman for the bankers association says the group has worked on several initiatives to help people with home loans. Another spokesman says the disruptive nature of today's protest isn't helpful in fostering dialogue.
ACORN brought people from Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota to protest.
