Pawlenty To Inaugurate India Business Chamber

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) ― Gov. Tim Pawlenty led a state trade mission to India two years ago. Now he's helping launch the India Chamber of Commerce.

The new business group holds a premiere gala in Bloomington on Saturday, with tickets starting at $100.

Pawlenty and first lady Mary Pawlenty will speak at the event.

The India Chamber of Commerce aims to promote business between India and the United States and work with governments to adopt trade-friendly policies.

Pawlenty led a 73-member delegation to India in 2007 to highlight India's importance as a market for Minnesota companies.
