Sean Skinner
Sean shoots video for WCCO 4 News weeknights at 5, 6 and 10 and Sundays at 5:30.
He grew up in Robbinsdale, MN. He went to High School at Robbinsdale Cooper High and played many sports including Football & Track and Field. While in High School, Sean interned for the Steve Cochran Show on 101.3 KDWB. After many humorous stunts and close encounters with the law (for the show), Sean knew he needed to be involved in radio and television.
Sean attended Brown Institute, where he received his degree in Radio/Television Broadcasting.
He worked in Radio for a while in Colorado and then again in Princeton, MN. Sean then moved into Television and worked for Cable12 out of Brooklyn Park, MN and also for KARE11.
And in 2001, Sean got the chance to work his dream job for WCCO TV.
Sean has won several journalism awards for general news storytelling and an investigative news piece. Awards have come from the Regional Emmys and Associated Press.
On his way to becoming a photojournalist, Sean has held some interesting jobs. Including
Little League Umpire, Club DJ, Grocery Bag Boy and Roofer.
Now his two favorite jobs are as a News Photojournalist and Daddy to his three kids.
